The examination under the machine is painless and lasts about 15 minutes.
The nuclear medicine technician will ask you to urinate before the examination. You will be asked to dress conservatively and remove all metallic objects (jewelry, piercings, hearing or dental aids, etc.).
The examination table on which you will lie passes through the ring of the PET scanner. The machine is wide and open at the sides.
It is sometimes useful to take early and/or late images, depending on the indication.
