There are no known side effects to date.
At the end of the examination, a doctor will discharge you to make sure there are no further images to be taken.
You will be asked to drink plenty of fluids to help eliminate the radioactive material from your body more quickly.
When administration during breast-feeding is essential, milk may be drawn off before injection and stored for later use. Breast-feeding should be suspended for at least 4 hours, and milk produced during this period should be pumped and discarded.
The images and report will be sent directly to the prescribing physician within 24 hours.
