It is not necessary to be fasting to perform this test.
Treatment should not be suspended in order to perform a 68Ga-PSMA PET scan.
No special pre-medication is required. You should, however, check your convocation for any special instructions.
There are no specific contraindications
If you are naturally anxious, the nuclear medicine technician will be able to reassure you by suggesting relaxation methods. They are trained in different methods and our PET rest boxes are equipped with a personalised musical relaxation application.
