Presentation
Myocardial scintigraphy is a test used to assess myocardial perfusion, i.e. the quality of blood supply to the heart muscle via the arteries known as coronary arteries, and thus to diagnose heart disease.
The aim is to check whether sufficient blood is flowing to the heart, and whether there is any narrowing or obstruction.
