You will be placed in an individual cabin for 30 to 60 minutes to ensure proper distribution and fixation of the product before the examination.
Muscle rest is not compulsory, but you will lie down in a cubicle to allow the radioactive product to be injected. For this, the technician will give you an intravenous infusion.
The nuclear medicine technician will ask you to urinate before carrying out the examination. You will be asked to dress conservatively and remove all metallic objects (jewelry, piercings, hearing or dental aids, etc.).
images of your skeleton are taken on a PET scanner.
The examination is painless and takes about 15 minutes.
