The examination under the machine is painless and lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
The nuclear medicine technician will ask you to urinate before performing the examination. You will be asked to dress conservatively and remove all metallic objects (jewelry, piercings, hearing or dental aids, etc.).
The examination table on which you will lie will pass through the ring of the PET scanner. The device is wide and open at the sides.
