Presentation
PET-scan, also known as Positron Emission Tomography, is an imaging test that visualizes the functioning of glucose in organs. This is functional imaging. This technique is coupled with a CT scanner to improve image quality and better visualize anatomy.
This examination enables areas of phospholipid hypermetabolism to be visualized, and is used particularly in prostate cancers.
