Ultrasound scan

Ultrasound is a painless imaging test performed by a radiologist.

You lie on an examination bed, and the doctor uses an ultrasound probe that emits ultrasound waves. To produce these images, a gel is applied to the skin.

Some ultrasound images are used to guide the radiologist in performing punctures. The sampled cells are analyzed to refine the diagnosis.
